Folding and assembly of oligomeric proteins
Folding, stability, structure and function; what are the connections?
The specific aims of present projects are:
- to identify structural determinants for protein stability, folding and assembly.
- to understand the underlying stereochemical code behind folding and native structure.
- to establish folding pathways for oligomeric proteins and to analyse the folding kinetics.
- to identify folding nucleuses that serve to initiate folding.
- to understand how sequence evolution affects folding properties and stability of proteins.
